An Interview With Barbie 💕

Ken approached Placer Guides when he decided to help Barbie improve her guest experience for her new Malibu Beach House that she is renting on Airbnb.

She was also getting lots of questions from guests who simply couldn't read the pdf she sent on their mobile devices, meaning she was spending more time answering guest questions than trying on clothes.

We helped Ken build the perfect digital guest guide for Barbie using our low cost white glove service, and sent someone over to Malibu to speak with Barbie on how the guides are helping improve her guest experience and reduce guest questions.

PG: Barbie, first of all thank you for having us as a guest in your beautiful beach house!

BMR: Not a problem sweetie, I love having guests!


PG: So, how do you feel about Ken making you your digital guest guide?

BMR: Oh, darlings! I couldn't be more thrilled about Ken making me my very own digital guest guide for my Malibu Dream House. It's such a thoughtful and sweet gesture from him. Ken knows how much I love hosting and making sure my guests have the most fabulous experience when they visit. Having a digital guest guide is the perfect way to provide my guests with all the essential information they need during their stay. Ken knows me so well and understands that I want to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone who chooses to stay at my Dream House.


PG: What part of hosting has the guide helped most with?

BMR: Oh, darling, the digital guest guide has been an absolute game-changer when it comes to hosting my Malibu Dream House . It has helped me in so many ways, but if I had to pick one I particularly love the personalised recommendations and insider tips from Ken and me. We've shared our favourite restaurants, local attractions, and secret spots that make Malibu so special. When we were just sending a pdf, guests never used to read our recommendations but with the new guide we have noticed guests are taking more notice of our recommendations and enjoying their stay more.


PG: How much did the guide reduce the questions you were getting from guests?

BMR: Before the guide, I used to receive numerous inquiries from guests asking about various details regarding the house, its amenities, and the surrounding area. While I always strive to provide exceptional customer service, it could be quite time-consuming to respond to each question individually, especially during peak booking seasons. By providing this detailed and easily accessible information upfront, the guide empowers my guests to find the answers they need without having to reach out to me directly. It not only saves them time but also allows me to focus on other aspects of hosting, such as preparing the Dream House for their arrival or adding personal touches to enhance their experience.


PG: You're quite an aesthetically driven person I am sure you won't mind me saying, what do you think about how the guides look?

BMR: Oh, darling, you're absolutely right! As a lover of all things beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, the appearance of the digital guest guide has truly delighted me. Ken knows just how much I value elegance and style in every aspect of my life, and he has definitely captured that essence in the guide. From the colour to the layout, Ken has done an amazing job in building a guide that fits with our listing. Not only does the guide look fabulous, the intuitive navigation and well-structured information make it easy for my guests to find what they're looking for, whether it's information about the amenities, local attractions, or dining recommendations. The visually pleasing layout adds an extra layer of enjoyment as my guests explore and discover all that my Dream House and the surrounding area have to offer.
