Digital guest guidebooks provide a great place to communicate what is available with guests, and even allow them to purchase right off the page!
Some guidebook platforms charge extra for this, however there is a free way to do this using your Placer Guide, and all you need is a Stripe account.

1) Set up a Stripe account 🧑💻
This is a simple first step and only requires some basic information about you and your company to complete the registration, link below 👇
You should already have an idea on this! Many hosts on the Placer Guides platform are selling their own products such as drinks, soaps and more.
Other options include: trickle charger for EV cars, late checkout, breakfast in bed, morning newspapers, extra cleans & more.
3) Create a payment link in Stripe 🔗
Set a name, description, price and quantity for your upsell, you can even brand the page with your logo and colours. When your guests click this link, they will now be taken through to a secure branded payment page, here is the set up guide 👇️
4) Add the link to your Placer digital guide book 📲
We suggest drawing attention to your upsells by making a Theme especially for them, and calling it something obvious such as "To purchase", this will mean your guests can easily find your upsell links as below 👇

Then create a Subtheme and your Content, and paste your link... It may be a good idea to include an image of the item or service too! 👇

You could now create a new piece of content for each item / purchase link.
Boom! Done. All purchses made through your links will be paid directly to your Stripe account and then to your nominated bank account. No need to pay extra for this feature and you can still benefit from the extra revenue.
